NDB HOSTS EXCLUSIVE EDUCATION EXPO AT KANDANA BRANCH TO SUPPORT GLOBAL EDUCATION ASPIRATIONS OF STUDENTS

NDB Bank successfully concluded an exclusive Education Expo at its Kandana branch, designed specifically for the Bank’s Privilege and Elevate clientele. The event was organised as part of NDB’s ongoing commitment to offering value-added, beyond-banking experiences to its high-net-worth customers, particularly in the rapidly growing sphere of overseas education.
With global education becoming an increasingly sought-after pathway for Sri Lankan families, the Expo served as a timely and curated platform where clients could access expert guidance on international study opportunities. To deliver a comprehensive and seamless experience, NDB partnered with International Scholar, one of Sri Lanka’s most reputed education consultancies, renowned for its strong global network and expertise in guiding students toward leading universities worldwide.
The event brought together representatives from over 20 universities across seven countries, including Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, and Dubai. More than 60 NDB customers attended the Expo, receiving personalised advice on admissions, programs, scholarships, career pathways, and settlement support, empowering them to make informed decisions about their children’s academic futures.
Speaking on the initiative, Gihan Punchihewa – AVP, Head of NDB Privilege Banking stated that hosting an event of this nature strengthens client relationships through meaningful engagement while reaffirming the Bank’s position as a premium service provider that caters to aspirations beyond traditional banking. The Expo also highlighted NDB’s enhanced Student File proposition, which offers streamlined financial support for overseas education, further demonstrating the Bank’s dedication to delivering convenience and trusted advisory to Privilege and Elevate clients.
The successful turnout and positive feedback underscored the event’s value in deepening client loyalty and creating new avenues for collaboration. It also opened pathways for future partnerships with leading education institutes, expanding opportunities for NDB to engage with new prospects within the HNW and emerging affluent segments.
Through initiatives such as the Kandana Education Expo, NDB continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering families, strengthening community ties, and supporting the next generation in achieving their global ambitions.
