Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2019 commences

The Sri Lanka Economic Summit, considered one of the most important economic events in the country and organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), got underway today.

With ‘Re-calibrating Sri Lanka’s Economic Trajectory Towards 2025’ as the central theme, the two day event was expected to bring together over 450 local and international participants, including business leaders, policy makers and experts who play a key role in shaping national development in their respective countries.

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe presided over the event as chief guest with Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera as the guest of honour.

The conference is mapped out to cover topics on global dynamics in the next decade, Sri Lanka’s growth drivers, technologies that transform economies and devising reforms for state owned enterprises.

Moreover, the speeches are to be followed by interactive panel discussions.

CCC has announced it would share with policy makers proposals to achieve national economic targets by 2025.
