CAKE Launches the #TakeCare Initiative

COLOMBO, SRI LANKA: CAKE Engineering, a Mad Mobile Company, is delighted to announce the launch of the #TakeCare Initiative, a community outreach project which focuses on supporting selected programmes to uplift underprivileged communities across Sri Lanka.

Commenting on the launch, Branding and Communications Lead, Nishan de Silva Wijeyeratne, said, “the #TakeCare Initiative is an embodiment of our Mad Mobile values and is one of our ways of reimagining the future by providing vulnerable communities with much needed support. This programme will include social work that aligns with the organization’s overall mission and help support sustainable development goals, while being funded by donations from the Group’s global operations, individual donations, and fundraising activities by the employees of CAKE Engineering.”

To mark the launch of the #TakeCare Initiative, the organization donated a month’s worth of dry rations to low-income earning families affected by the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, in partnership with the Rotaract Club of Colombo North.

Speaking on this donation, Seshan Gunatilaka, Country Head and Vice President of Delivery at CAKE Engineering, said, “it is in moments such as these, where organizations need to play a major role in uplifting communities. With all the difficulties daily-wage earners are experiencing today, we hope that at least for a brief period, we can fulfill their most basic of needs by ensuring they are able to have three meals a day”.
