IFS strengthens South Asian management team

IFS Announces the appointment of four key profiles in February 2020 to drive customer success in the region

Sri Lanka, February, 2020 – IFS, the global enterprise applications company, is expanding its business operations in South Asia including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan. Four key profiles will join the IFS South Asia Operations in February 2020 to further expand business opportunities and support clients with the highest possible expertise and knowledge.

Shouqi Omar, Director & Head of Consultancy—South Asia brings 22 years of professional experience in global IT services, delivery management, complex program and project management, enterprise application design and delivery, presales, business solutions consulting, business systems implementation, and consultative selling. His exposure in managing large global teams to ensure successful delivery of business-critical applications across multiple locations for leading global and Sri Lankan clients will help to further expand the consultancy services of IFS in terms of improved and streamlined delivery in a timely manner.

Shouqi joins IFS from IBM Global Business Services, where he worked for more than seven years. He lead the Consulting Practice in Sri Lanka focusing on Digital transformation with an end-to-end ownership from presales to project delivery . Prior to IBM, Shouqi worked for 12+ years at Virtusa, where he held a number of delivery leadership roles and managed multiple large-size programs for leading global clients.

Anurudda Kariyawasam, Country Sales Manager—Pakistan and Bangladesh has 13 years of experience in the international IT sector. Prior to joining IFS, he worked for IBM, Microsoft, Oracle and Palo Alto Networks managing public-sector, telco, banking-sector and enterprise accounts. With a solid track record in ERP and security solutions, Anurudda will help increase partnerships with existing and new clients in emerging markets such as Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Indrajit De Silva, Head of Key Accounts for Sri Lanka, hails from a sales background with more than 10 years of experience in Sri Lanka, Maldives, Malaysia and the Middle East. His experience spans across companies such as IBM and Microsoft over the past few years handling complex and competitive sales projects as well as managing customers across banking, telco and manufacturing sectors. Indrajit is an advocate of digital transformation with a passion to ensure customer success while acquiring new business. His expertise will enable existing IFS clients to reach new heights in terms of service delivery and assist in digitally transforming their businesses.

Vishwagith Premarathna, Principal Project Manager joins IFS with 20+ years’ work experience spanning consulting, program management and delivery excellence. He has held leadership roles with both international and local conglomerates such as Good Hope Asia Holdings (Carsons Cumberbatch Group), Attune Consulting (MAS Holdings Group) and most recently as a Practice Head—Oracle in Pyxle International (Tavistock Group), and has worked with clients across Sri Lanka, Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia in multiple industries implementing and project managing SAP and Oracle ERP suites.

He will be responsible for enhanced and efficient program management and project delivery for IFS clients in South Asia. He is also a member of the British Computer Society and holds a Certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants along with several qualifications in project management.
