Partners with NTB to introduce first-ever e-commerce co-branded credit card in Sri Lanka

Colombo, 25 February 2022:Daraz Sri Lanka recently partnered with Nations Trust Bank (NTB) to introduce the first-ever co-branded credit card in Sri Lanka in collaboration with Mastercard. This comes at a time when digital inclusivity and e-commerce literacy has gained added importance the world over.

The signing of the partnership took place on 15th February 2022 at the Daraz head office, in the presence of Daraz Group CEO Bjarke Mikkelsen.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Daraz Sri Lanka Managing Director Rakhil Fernando said: “We are pleased to have Nations Trust Bank on board as the official issuer of the new co-branded credit card. Yet another first by Daraz, we believe this will lay the foundation to drive more digital payment usage in the long run by allowing for a seamless payment experience with higher security and easy access to a wider population.”

With the Daraz and NTB co-branded credit card, users can avail themselves to a host of unique benefits, including innovative instalment plans, special rewards for spending on Daraz, regular discounts and offers exclusive to the credit card along with privileged services such as VIP treatment, access to exclusive bank events, and much more.

The partnership marks the first e commerce co-branded credit card in Sri Lanka as well as of the Daraz Group. A series of more exciting features and offers exclusive to the Daraz-NTB credit card will be revealed over the next three months, setting in motion a complete shift in Sri Lanka’s online shopping experience.
